We
pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time so
you can enjoy your home’s new look for many years to come.
Our procedures for
exterior painting include full preparation and a top of
the line finish coat.
Our “Standard Six” surface preparation process is second
to none. Preparation is the most important part of a quality
paint job. We begin by pressure washing the home’s exterior
with an eco-friendly house wash
to remove chalk, mildew, and mold that have accumulated
on the surface over the years. This also helps to remove
any loose and flaking paint while lifting any paint that
is beginning to fail. Phase two of preparing
the surface involves detailed scraping to remove any additional
loose paint from the home.
The next step is to nail down any loose boards using galvanized
spiral shank nails to ensure a secure and permanent fix.
Sanding the surface comes next. We will use a variety of
applicable sanding tools to feather out the rough areas
ensuring a smooth and uniform finish coat.
All bare surfaces are then properly primed to seal the wood,
block out stains, and promote adhesion of the finish coat.
We choose to use Sherwin William’s brand paint products
for their continued reliability and commitment to customer
satisfaction.
The finish coat will be done using one of Sherwin William’s
top quality 100% acrylic paints or stains.
